The Pickleball Kingdom project transformed an existing 32,094-square-foot retail space into a vibrant indoor sports venue, supporting the rapid growth of pickleball in the Sacramento region. Through the adaptive reuse of an existing commercial space, the facility offers a modern, welcoming environment designed for players of all skill levels while providing a premier year-round recreation destination.
The indoor facility features 11 indoor pickleball courts, two community rooms, a 719-square-foot elevated viewing area, reception and lobby, administrative offices, locker rooms with showers, and dedicated storage space. The improvements also included complete interior demolition and reconfiguration, installation of sport-specific flooring, specialty lighting, acoustic treatments, and new mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and fire/life safety systems.
